I uploaded my first video back in 2009. It was a minute long stop motion captured with my Nikon CoolPix titled Not Bored Anymore. I was incredibly poorly made and included zero audio because I simply could not figure out how to get music into Windows Movie Maker. Somehow, that inspired me enough to continue learning and failing and trying new techniques in order to grow to the filmmaker I am today, who’s still not bored. Below are some of my favorite works. My beautiful wife Stacy and I live in the amazing city of Detroit about 20 minutes away from where we first met and fell in love, all the way back in middle school. Our pug named Esther keeps the fort safe while we raise our incredible daughter, Eliza. I spent the first half of my professional career creating tour visuals and large-scale animations to backdrop musicians and stage productions. Pepper in a few years as the Senior Art Director at a Detroit agency called Handcar, as well as a ton of one-off projects for artists and brands and you’ve got my life. Throughout all of that time, I’ve had the chance to use photography, design, animation, and my most-loved medium; film to tell authentic stories that carry well beyond the length of the clip. I love being a creator. The work I do is important to me because the day will eventually come when my daughter stumbles upon my old work, finding all of the content I’ve poured my life into creating and I simply cannot take her not liking it.
